DPF Cleaning

Modern diesel vehicles are fitted with a DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) designed to reduce harmful emissions. As the vehicle is driven, soot builds up on the internal walls of the filter and gradually blocks the pores within the DPF unit. Under normal conditions, this soot is burned off during the regeneration process, which typically occurs when driving at a constant speed of over 80km/h for a sustained period, such as on a motorway.

However, for vehicles mainly used on short journeys or in urban driving, the exhaust system often does not reach the temperatures required for regeneration. Over time, this can lead to a severely blocked DPF, resulting in warning lights, reduced performance, and potentially very costly repairs.
